main responsibilities

We are seeking a creative and driven videographer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to put their career on a fast-track working with fast-growing brands and establishing/leading Marketika's content department.

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing Communications, you will have the opportunity to work with our roster of clients as well as our internal team of account directors, social media managers, our creative director and the executive team.

Your focus will be your creativity, production and the development of your team as you work with an agency of young and talented marketers.

Here's what you can expect from this position:

  • Develop, film, and manage the editing of (primarily) social media video content that aligns with our and our clients' brands.
  • Brainstorm and conceptualize monthly briefs with the social team
  • Accompany our social team on-site to direct and shoot video content.
  • Manage external video editor(s) to achieve intended results for every video.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to plan and strategize high-quality visual content.
  • Manage and maintain video equipment and software.
  • Drive the creative direction of the agency's video content, ensuring it aligns with marketing goals.
  • Contribute to the agency's business development by showing a keen interest in market trends and business opportunities on various social platforms.

qualifications & skills

  • 3+ years of experience in video production
  • Strong understanding of social media content across all main channels
  • Ability to work with a professional camera, as much as with an iPhone as required for each social media channel
  • Strong editing and storytelling abilities
  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere or similar software
  • A proven record of delivering projects on schedule
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to take ownership and leadership of a content creation department
